Management of poliomyelitis

Management of poliomyelitis: -          

                                                      Polio, it is problem occur due to virus infection. A polio virus affect harness cell of our body, Due to this a child become disable. A child who have cold, cough and lose motion or weak children are the nearest factor for this virus. Mostly, children at the age of 0 – 5 years are affected from it. The infection of virus affects the muscles of the body, which control our walking speed. Polio is highly infectious viral disease, it mostly affect our young children. This is transmitted by contaminated food and water or become multiple and affected the nervous system.

Orthopedic surgery:-

                         A polio affected child does not have a good physically condition in the long run and another problem also occur in these children. We call it deformities. To solve this problem we require orthopedic surgery.

·         Restructuring of muscular.

·         Orthopedic surgery to avoid compress.

·         Orthopedic surgery to avoid deformities.

Management of poliomyelitis

Supportive equipment:-

             After paralyze our muscular become dry and affected part become very weak, so in this situation that children require supportive equipment.

Educational management:-

                  Polio only affect the physically condition of children, but their cognitive level are not affected. So they are able for higher education.

Vocational training:-

       Children who are affected from polio are not comfortable for higher education fully. So we give them vocational training & other employment program.
